Dung Beetle

Dung Beetle_┬ęPeterChadwick_AfricanConservationPhotographer

A dung bettle rolls the ball of rhino dung that it has collected from a rhino-midden in northern Zululand. The beetle is being followed by a small swarm of flies that also have an interest in the fermenting dung as yet another fly species perches on the back of the beetle.
