After a number of unsuccessful attempts to catch drinking sandgrouse at a waterhole in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa, this black-backed jackal managed to snatch this unfortunate bird out of the air. On a good morning the jackal would catch four or five birds that were then immediately eaten.
