Meeting an inquisitive Black Rhino bull in an open grassland with no cover in sight is an interesting experience indeed! We initially saw this magnificent animal well over 200m away as he was contentedly browsing on some acacia bushes. When we were half way across the open area, he decided to come and see what we were up to. This image was taken with a 24-70mm lens that was wide open and has not been cropped - he was CLOSE! After circling us a few times, he trotted off again back to his breakfast and leaving me and the rest of the patrol both shaking and on an absolute high!
