The mist-belt forests of central Mozambique and particularly those on Mount Gorongoza, are a mystical and often unexplored place where the trees reach high into the sky and their canopies are often hidden amongst the swirling mists. They are also home to some of the most sought after bird species and time sitting quietly amongst the forest floor will soon show the sounds and movement of a bird party comprising of several species as they move through the canopy feeding. Mount Gorongoza is one of the best locations to view the elusive green-headed oriole.
